About Meli Poppins The nursery

 As the owner of Meli Poppins Nursery, I believe childhood should be filled with love, laughter, adventure and discovery. My home-from-home environment is built on a foundation of professional love, where every child is nurtured with warmth, respect and genuine care, helping them feel safe, secure and truly valued. Inspired by Montessori principles, we encourage independence, curiosity and confidence, allowing children to learn at their own pace through meaningful play, hands-on experiences and exploration. Through exciting adventures, strong relationships and high-quality early education, we create a nurturing environment where children can flourish, develop a lifelong love of learning and build the confidence to embrace the world around them.

Meli's Little Poppins enjoy a variety of enriching experiences including yoga, dance, music, storytelling, creative arts, sensory play and hands-on learning opportunities that support their physical, emotional and cognitive development. Our Montessori-inspired approach encourages children to follow their interests, build independence and develop confidence through meaningful play and discovery.

A truly special part of life at Meli Poppins is Meli's Magical Forest, our unique outdoor learning space where our toddler and preschool children embark on daily adventures. Here, children explore the natural world, take part in woodland-inspired activities, develop practical life skills through woodworking, discover local wildlife, build resilience and imagination, and connect with nature through hands-on environmental exploration.

I believe that learning extends beyond our nursery walls. Children regularly enjoy outings within the local community, providing exciting opportunities to explore new environments, develop social confidence and broaden their understanding of the world around them.

Partnership with families is at the heart of everything I do. Throughout the year, I invite parents and carers to join us for special stay-and-play sessions, celebrations and termly performances, creating wonderful opportunities to share in your child's learning journey and celebrate their achievements together.

As the founder of Meli Poppins Nursery, I personally oversee our recruitment process and carefully screen, interview and select every member of our team through a rigorous recruitment procedure. All staff are qualified and experienced in early years education, but becoming part of the Meli Poppins family means more than holding a qualification. Every team member is trained to Meli's Standard, our commitment to delivering exceptional care, professional love, outstanding practice and meaningful learning experiences for every child.
